Today, you will prepare for the exam by working on last year’s version. Before we start, however, let’s quickly consider the format of the exam:
You will read an article that I will provide to you. Hopefully, you will not have seen this article before
- The first question will ask you to identify three rhetorical devices in the article
- The second question will ask you to identify the kind of introduction used (general to specific or anecdotal?)
- the third question will ask you to consider your own strengths and weaknesses (think Being a Better Communicator) in a single paragraph; this paragraph will be written in context of the article.
- the fourth question will require you to write a sustained response (3-4) paragraphs. It will include one reference to an important character from Twelfth Night; it will also require you to consider one of the characters from your novel study.
