Today, we will consider Act I scenes iv-v. I need you to read Act II scene i for homework.
The order of things:
- We will begin with a brief lecture about the Elizabethan view of ghosts
- We will read scene iv, and watch scene v. When we are done, I want you to collect the examples of religious imagery in the scenes. You may simply write notes, or you may organize the page as a wordle; use the size of your text to indicate the importance of the line.
- For homework, I need you to read Act II scene i. In a single paragraph on your blog, I’d like you to explain what you can infer about Polonius through his interaction with the minor character Reynaldo and his daughter Ophelia.
