Ancient Egyptians chat with Modern Canadians
Today we will have a discussion in which you will either play the role of an ancient Egyptian or a modern Canadian. The discussion will try to resolve the differences between an Egyptian culture that valued stability and continuity, and a current culture that values change and adaptability.
You will be given 40 minutes to prepare for the discussion. For 20 minutes of the preparation time, you will be paired with another student; your pair will examine one aspect of Egyptian life: The remaining 20 minutes will be used to share ideas with the other members of your society.
Remember that you are not restricted to the categories below. You also need to pull ideas from other aspects of Egyptian life.
